Account registrations from free mail accounts are no longer accepted. Requests will need to come from a legitimate home, work, or school Internet Service Provider.

This is a password protected message board for the fans of the East Carolina Pirates to discuss topics intelligently between each other and fans of other schools and conferences. This message board in no way has any direct affiliation with East Carolina University.

Flaming

Flaming by other schools on this board with intent to denigrate or insult anything associated with East Carolina University will not be tolerated, period. All opposing schools are welcome to get a password and discuss intelligently on this board. If you post a flame, it will be removed. Likewise, I expect ECU fans to respond to a "legitimate" post (be it opinionated or not) by another schools fans with an intelligent response.

Handles

You may use handles that you normally use elsewhere or a handle that you choose but pick a handle and stick to it. Handle switching will not be tolerated. Anyone caught handle switching will have their password revoked. Handles that resemble coaches or players or any recognizable figure is not allowed. Even with passwords, there is a case for posting by leaving a handle without an email address. This is fine. There are many people who read this board who do not have a password and can see your email address.

Criticism

I see nothing wrong with constructive criticism of players, coaches, athletic officials, etc.. as long as you back it up with your normal handle or by leaving an email address. Anything damaging or without merit will be removed. Common sense should tell you what is appropriate and what is not. There are many people reading this board from all walks of life so PLEASE think before you post. Attacks on anyone's personal life, etc.., outside the realm of their job or athletic performance is STRICTLY off limits.

Language/Images

Extremely rude or vulgar language and/or images will be removed and your password will be revoked. Offensive words will also not be tolerated.

Regardless of what some might think, this board is not intended to be a censored board. You can pretty much say what you want as long as you stick behind it and this board will control itself. Bogus handles, handle switching, and childish back and forth between posters is not the kind of environment patrons of this board want. This is the fans' board and is administered on a majority rules basis. With that said, I take all comments and suggestions about the board in hopes to make it the best for what the majority is in favor of. Also, I make no money running this board. This board developed strictly out of necessity and is not trying to compete with other similar message boards. The main purpose of this board by request of those who helped get it started is to provide a civilized environment for rational discussion.

Please Note: Even though I run this board as administrator, I have opinions on subjects also. Please do not take it personally if I oppose your opinion or state an opinion that you do not agree with. Even though our opinions may differ, I treat everyone on this board equally.

Please Especially Note: These rules are not set in stone and are subject to change as seen fit. All suggestions on how the board is run are taken into consideration. The primary objective here is that this board will not become a detrimental dumping ground for ECU. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me.
