Subject: PIRATE baseball in california

Message:

a few thoughts from an LA based pirate:
1) PLEASE keep coming to play on the left coast! it is a unique
opportunity for those alum that don't live close to NC or are
already burned out flying to texas given the footbal team spends a
few weeks there per year.
2) fan support was fantastic. between local pirates, family of the
team and loyal fans from NC, well it was quite a surprise. with the
exception of the saturday pepperdine game which was maybe 50/50, ecu
had the majority of the fans in the stands. the pepperdine faithful
kept looking over with a look of awe that we traveled so well and
showed up in numbers.
3) we can finally move on from the 0-california record given the
victory on saturday. friday was a complete team meltdown which made
the bounce back on saturday even more impressive.
4) if you ever get a chance to see a game at pepperdine--do it. the
view is second only to the malibu little league facility across the
street which is west of PCH and even closer to the surf!

go pirates!
